We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Research Associate to join our team at the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh. The successful candidate will lead research efforts in advancing the field of Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning.

About the Project

The project is focused on improving the robustness and trustworthiness of Large Language Models while enhancing their explainability and generalisation properties. You will work closely with the Edinburgh NLP Group to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities
  • PhD in Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, or a related field with strong research background and leadership experience
  • Experience in independent research work within an interdisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated quality of research performance with high-quality publications in top-tier ML and NLP venues
  • Strong programming skills with experience in Python NLP and deep learning libraries
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly in writing and orally in English

Compensation
  • A competitive salary range of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
