Job Title: ASD Teaching Assistant (Primary)

Location: Newcastle

Salary: £75 - £110 per Day

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and caring ASD Teaching Assistant (Primary) to join a fantastic school in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, ideally with ASD, and possess strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Support children with ASD in the classroom and during activities
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with ASD
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Encourage social interaction and emotional development
  • Monitor and report on student progress

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, ideally with ASD
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of individual pupils
  • A passion for helping children achieve their potential
  • A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to obtain one)
