Construction Training Specialist

Teaching Personnel Permanent Workforce Team is seeking an experienced Trainer/Assessor of Construction to join a leading Further Education College in Huntingdon. As a key member of the college's teaching staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment to learners, while maintaining strong relationships with employers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Liaise with employers, learners, and college staff to ensure seamless learner sign-up processes, accurate documentation, and efficient completion of required tasks.
- Assess learners' starting points to inform planning and sequencing of their learning, focusing on English, Maths, and Key Skills (KSBs).
- Provide expert guidance and support to learners and employers throughout their program, ensuring awareness of Careers Information, Advice, and Guidance (CIAG) and Wellbeing services.
- Plan and prepare learners for assessment, gateway, and End-Point Assessment (EPA), ensuring clear understanding of gateway requirements and incorporation into individual training plans.
- Deliver instruction, training, and assessment, ensuring compliance with college and Awarding Organisation standards, quality assurance processes, and requirements.
- Hold a Level 3 TAQA qualification or equivalent, with relevant updates.
- Contribute to Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) strategies, reflecting the college's IQA policies.
- Develop and maintain IQA plans, ensuring timely updates and adherence to IQA strategies.
- Support and mentor other Assessors, as identified in IQA strategies.
- Participate in standardisation meetings and lead where appropriate.
- Collaborate with Work-Based Learning (WBL) Managers to identify improvements in assessing and quality assurance practices.
