About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Conveyancing Assistant to join our team at Davies and Partners Solicitors. As a key member of our residential conveyancing department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of property transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with issuing quotes, opening new files, and onboarding clients.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client queries via phone and email.
  • Update developer spreadsheets and work lists on OneDrive, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Collaborate with clients, developers, and brokers to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Conduct thorough checks on client documentation, identifying necessary procedures and ensuring compliance with AML regulations.
  • Request payment on account from clients, maintaining accurate records and communicating with clients as needed.
  • Verify draft contract documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Arrange search insurance, obtain local, environmental, and/or drainage searches, and send standard correspondence to clients.
  • Draft Stamp Duty Land Tax forms and provide completion statements to clients.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection regulations.
Requirements
  • GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • A Law Degree is not required, but awareness of compliance and processes within residential conveyancing is beneficial.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with excellent administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-organized, proactive, and adaptable, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competence in the effective use of ICT, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
