TSR Legal is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Cashier to join their dynamic team in Gloucester. As a Legal Cashier, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of the firm, with a focus on conveyancing transactions.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage daily financial transactions, ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules.
- Process client and office account payments, including CHAPS, BACS, and cheque payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts and handle petty cash.
- Monitor and manage client account balances and ensure timely transfer of funds.
- Process conveyancing completions, including calculating and arranging payments of Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) and Land Registry fees.
- Prepare and manage VAT returns and ensure timely submission.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial procedures.
- Liaise with solicitors, clients, and external bodies to resolve financial queries.
- Maintain accurate financial records and produce regular financial reports.
- Previous experience as a Legal Cashier, preferably within a conveyancing-focused role.
- Strong understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules and other relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in legal accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
