Production Line Maintenance Specialist

We are a leading food manufacturer with 16 world-class manufacturing sites and 18 distribution depots across the UK, employing 13,000 colleagues. Our products range from sandwiches, soups, and sushi to cooking sauces, pickles, and ready meals.
This role is based at our Northampton facility, one of Europe's most impressive production campuses, where we operate five manufacturing units and have a team of around 2,000 colleagues producing high-quality premium products every day.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position working an average of 40 hours per week, including one or both weekend days due to our 24/7 operation. We do not offer part-time roles.
The shift pattern involves working night shifts from Thursday to Tuesday, with a start time of 8pm and finish time of 4:30am.
The salary for this role is £14.57 per hour, plus overtime paid at 1.25 times the hourly rate.
Responsibilities- Set up machines correctly to produce and package products accurately.
- Ensure machine setup aligns with product requirements.
- Ensure only one type of packaging is used on the line at any given time, with materials readily available to minimize downtime.
- Regularly complete compliance checks, including camera, date, and code verification checks.
- Record and escalate any issues to the Line Coordinator and relevant departments.
- Good numeracy and English language skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrate safe working practices and adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Able to work accurately under pressure and pay attention to detail.
- Knowledge of FMCG or warehouse experience is advantageous, although full training is provided.
