Cygnet Health Care is seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative/Assistant to join our team at Cygnet Pindar House. As a Maintenance Operative/Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, providing a safe and healthy environment for our service users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a comprehensive maintenance and repair service to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
  • Carry out a range of tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting, and general building work to maintain the condition of our buildings.
  • Maintain plant, services, and vehicles in working order to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Comply with safe working practices and report faulty equipment and potential hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Travel to other sites and on occasions be on call to carry out emergency repairs outside of normal working hours.
  • Check the fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, door retaining devices, and fire emergency lights to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Experience in all types of painting and decorating in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Willingness to travel and hold a full valid driving license.
  • Able to communicate at all levels and record detailed, accurate maintenance information.
  • Skilled at DIY and general maintenance.
  • Preferably Level 2 Diploma qualified in Painting and Decorating/Maintenance.
  • Friendly, conscientious, and an excellent team member with a positive attitude.
