Maintenance Technician

- Carry out essential maintenance tasks according to a predetermined programme of planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
- Contribute to the development of the agility maintenance system, ensuring seamless operations and optimal equipment performance.
- Maintain the highest level of machine safety standards and oversee the management of critical spares.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electro-mechanical plant machinery to ensure efficient operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve factory overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) through innovative production facility development.
- Operate a preventative electrical maintenance system to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Configure and program Siemens PLC equipment to optimize production processes.
- Utilize various testing equipment to swiftly locate and resolve faults, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Maintain adherence to the company's quality system, ensuring all operations meet the highest standards.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be a skilled Maintenance Technician with a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering. Key qualifications include a minimum level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline, as well as ONC/BTEC or equivalent qualifications in electrical engineering. The ideal candidate will possess sound knowledge of Siemens PLCs and have experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in heavy manufacturing or FMCG. A passion for improvement and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles are also essential.
