Job Purpose:

The Environmental team is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental law and conformance with the environmental management system standards. The Environmental Engineer oversees all environmental activities companywide, supporting the Environmental Systems Manager in ensuring regulatory compliance and conformity with ISO14001 environmental management system. They will lead projects to achieve Aston Martin's objectives and ensure collection and analysis of environmental data.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure environmental regulatory compliance across all sites, maintaining the environmental legal register and all relevant permits and consents.
  2. Maintain and improve conformance to ISO14001 at certified sites.
  3. Implement ISO 50001 across all manufacturing sites.
  4. Lead environmental projects for energy, water, and waste reduction to achieve Racing Green targets and objectives.
  5. Ensure all environmental data is collected and analyzed for the Sustainability report and ESG ratings in line with SECR and the GHG protocol.
  6. Develop and implement environmental initiatives companywide to drive environmental awareness.
  7. Complete analysis of environmental data and preparation of reports.
  8. Liaise with senior management and other members to achieve environmental targets and objectives.
  9. Record all relevant data to meet ISO standards.
  10. Support the Environmental Manager with setting out future environmental strategies and road maps.
  11. Control waste management requirements at site and report waste data monthly.
  12. Plan and conduct internal audits as relevant for ISO14001 and ISO50001.
  13. Support the Sustainability department when required to gather data for sustainability reporting.

This role requires a strong understanding of environmental legislation and experience in managing compliance with environmental permits and consents. The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant field and experience in environmental sustainability reporting. They will be able to work closely with the Environmental Systems Manager to ensure alignment on environmental topics across the business and will be a point of contact for regulating bodies.

Requirements:
  1. Strong understanding of environmental legislation and experience in managing compliance with environmental permits and consents.
  2. Experience in environmental sustainability reporting in line with the GHG protocol.
  3. Good communications skills and the ability to write clear, concise, and accurate reports.
  4. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
  5. Full driving license is required.
  6. Able to travel at short notice within the UK to other Aston Martin sites.
