About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in managing the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including processing invoices, credits, and payments.
  • Perform reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and credit control.
  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis, including preparing financial statements and reports.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including responding to queries and resolving issues.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial processing.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Experience with Sage 50 and/or Xero accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
