About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Infection Prevention Specialist to join our team at Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital.

As a key member of our infection control team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all operational elements of an effective IPC service. This includes surveillance, management and reporting of healthcare associated infections (HCAIs) and alert organisms, as well as auditing clinical environment and practices related to IPC implementation of IPC policies and strategies.

You will also be responsible for outbreak prevention and control, training of staff in IPC, development and implementation of IPC policies and strategies, reviewing and managing projects from the Board Assurance Framework, and running IPC meetings with Link staff which then leads into the Quarterly meeting with the Microbiologist.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary up to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including free private healthcare and gym membership.

Our hospital has two laminar flow operating theatres, a JAG accredited endoscopy unit, and two minor treatment rooms in the outpatient department. We provide outpatient services for dermatology, cardiology, neurology, and rheumatology.
