Fraud Prevention and Engagement Volunteer Role

Estimated salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum.

About the Role:

The Fraud Prevention and Engagement Volunteer will play a vital role in protecting individuals and businesses from fraud. This will involve providing protective messaging to victims of fraud who have reported their crime to Action Fraud and have not received a police response.

  • This includes contacting fraud victims via post/email to offer advice and support.
  • The volunteer will also participate in fraud prevention activities and deliver advice within the community, working alongside Neighbourhood Policing Teams and partners at events and engagement stands.

This volunteering opportunity is available at various locations across Sussex, including West Sussex and East Sussex. The successful candidate will be required to work without direct supervision and demonstrate a high level of self-management, motivation, drive, and determination.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Professionalism and confidence when engaging with members of the public.
  • IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
