About the Role

We are seeking two enthusiastic and proactive Playworkers to join our team at Teaching Vacancies to run our new after school provision, POPS Kids.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have experience of working with children in a play, childcare, out-of-school, or school setting. They will have high expectations of themselves and the children they work with, and a good understanding of how children learn and the role of play in children's learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children in a play-based environment, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Develop and implement engaging play activities, taking into account the needs and interests of the children.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a high-quality service is provided.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, ensuring they are child-centered and meet the needs of the children and families we serve.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with children in a play, childcare, out-of-school, or school setting.
  • High expectations of yourself and the children you work with.
  • Good understanding of how children learn and the role of play in children's learning.
  • Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid working visa or legal right to work in the UK.
