Position Overview

  • Reporting to: Head of Academy (FE)
  • Location: Birmingham
  • Weekly Hours: 3 days a week (24 hours) - Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
  • Salary Range: £26,000 - £28,000 FTE based on experience
  • Employment Type: Fixed-Term - 6 months
  • Working Hours: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm

Role Objectives:

  • Facilitate the effective learning of all participants.
  • Uphold high standards of performance and behavior.
  • Contribute to the overall functioning of the British Academy of Jewellery.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required.

Teaching Responsibilities:

  • Deliver educational programs in jewellery creation and design.
  • Offer academic and personal support to learners to enhance success rates.
  • Track student progress, attendance, and maintain accurate records.
  • Evaluate student submissions within established deadlines and criteria.
  • Develop lesson plans, supplementary materials, and other relevant teaching resources.
  • Ensure adherence to educational standards and institutional policies.
  • Supervise student compliance with established guidelines.

Health and Safety Responsibilities:

  • Introduce students to health and safety regulations.
  • Stay informed on safeguarding and preventive measures.
  • Encourage equality and diversity among learners.
  • Exemplify positive health and safety practices.
