SEN Support Worker Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join our team at Snap Care. As a SEN Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to a 4-year-old child with special needs, including epilepsy and a brain injury.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement a play-led therapy programme to support the child's development and well-being
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to the child and their family
  • Assist with daily routines, including bathing and bedtime
  • Support the child's sensory needs and provide a safe and nurturing environment
  • Collaborate with the therapy team to develop and implement individualised plans

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with epilepsy and brain injuries
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays and school holidays
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
