Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Administrator to join our team at Marie Curie Newcastle Hospice. As a key member of our administration team, you will provide high-quality administrative support to our Inpatient Unit, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Inpatient referrals and ensure all admission documentation is prepared prior to nursing/medical consultation.
- Prepare and update supporting patient records.
- Provide administration support at weekly multi-disciplinary team meetings.
- Coordinate and support discharge/transport arrangements for patients.
- Maintain all stationery within the ward used for patient records and place the weekly ward supplies order online.
Requirements:
- Excellent organisational, administrative and minute taking skills with the ability to communicate well at all levels.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft packages, such as Word, Excel and Publisher.
- The ability to work on your own initiative in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage changing priorities to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience of working in a Health or Social Care environment.
- Flexible approach and willingness to support colleagues in the wider administration team and main reception on occasion.
