About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Theatre Practitioner Scrub Specialist to join our team at Cromwell Hospital. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate perioperative patient care, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • Participate in the delegation and supervision of junior grades, non-registered, and less experienced staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and legible records of care, adhering to Bupa and Cromwell Hospital's policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the positioning and preparation of patients for clinical and operative procedures, ensuring the correct labelling and dispatch of specimens to the laboratory.
  • Contribute to the control of cross-infection by adhering to departmental policies on dress, cleanliness, decontamination, and sterilization procedures.
  • Prepare patients for clinical and operative procedures, both in anaesthetics and surgery, demonstrating a commitment to patient-centered care.
Requirements
  • RN - 1st level Registration Adult and/or Children / Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies / ODP Level 3 NVQ / ODA 752.
  • Previous scrub nurse experience, with a proven track record of delivering high standards of care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing workload to meet deadlines.
