Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Patient Experience Lead - Palliative Care to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. This fixed-term role offers a unique opportunity to develop and implement a compassionate volunteer program, enhancing the experience of patients and their loved ones during end-of-life care. As a key member of our End of Life Care team, you will work closely with clinical teams and palliative care specialists to identify patients who would benefit from support. Your primary responsibilities include:
  • Developing and managing the End of Life Care Volunteer program, ensuring seamless integration into hospital services.
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising a team of volunteers to provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to establish a service that prioritizes patient-centered care and long-term sustainability.
