Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to join our team at Law Staff Legal Recruitment. As an Adults Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and representation to vulnerable clients across a range of Community Care and Court of Protection work.

About the Role:

  • Challenging Assessments and Care Plans: You will be responsible for challenging assessments and care plans to ensure that local authorities comply with their safeguarding duties.
  • Ensuring Compliance: You will identify judicial review challenges and potential Court of Protection cases, and act for clients in Court of Protection proceedings in relation to their welfare.
  • Casework and Client Care: You will carry out casework, analyse legal matters, and advise clients on the appropriate course of action. You will also communicate clearly and regularly with clients, and comply with 'client care' requirements.
  • Administrative Tasks: You will ensure that time spent on all casework is promptly recorded and billed, and that requirements are met for Legal Aid Agency funding.
  • Professional Development: You will keep up-to-date with general legal developments, and undertake appropriate administrative tasks in accordance with the Office Manual.
