We are seeking a skilled Purchase Manager - Aftermarket to join our team in Wolverhampton. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic procurement function and contribute to the success of our business.
Job Description- Salary: Competitive salary plus benefits (estimated £40,000 - £60,000 per annum)
- Location: Wolverhampton
- Job Type: Full-time
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of procurement experience in a mechanical manufacturing environment and excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Responsibilities- Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products in line with customer demand and inventory targets
- Liaise with suppliers to manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure materials are available to meet production deadlines
- Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste
- Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to forecast material requirements and adjust planning as necessary
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement
- Identify potential supply chain risks and implement contingency plans to avoid disruption
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, materials, and suppliers
