Job Title: Learning Support Assistant in Chesterfield

Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire

Daily Rate: £97.50 - £107.50

Days: 5 days a week, Monday to Friday

Hours: 8:15am - 3:30pm

Role Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant in Chesterfield. As a key member of the education staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with subject teachers and the SENDCo to support teaching and learning. This will involve working with individuals or small groups of pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, implementing planned learning activities and adjusting them according to pupils' needs.

You will also participate in planning and evaluation of learning activities, relating to the needs of students you are supporting. Additionally, you will provide feedback to pupils in relation to attainment and progress under the direction of the teacher.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Holds a relevant Supporting Teaching & Learning Qualification or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
  • Comes with at least 6 months of educational based experience (essential).
  • Has a strong knowledge and practical understanding of Special Needs (SEN).
  • Is passionate about supporting SEN and keen to ensure that students make continued progress.
  • Holds a valid and up-to-date DBS Certificate.
