Fostering Panel Chair Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified social worker to join our team as a Fostering Panel Chair. As a key member of our panel, you will be responsible for chairing fostering panels and ensuring that decisions are made in the best interests of children and young people.

About the Role

  • Chair fostering panels to make decisions about the care of children and young people
  • Work closely with social workers and other professionals to ensure that decisions are made in the best interests of children and young people
  • Develop and maintain relationships with foster carers, social workers, and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of our fostering service and ensure that it is of high quality

Requirements

  • Registered social worker with experience of chairing complex meetings
  • Independent of Lancashire County Council's Children's Services (or have left over 12 months ago)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
