Job Title: Academic Learning Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Academic Learning Support Specialist to join our team at Targeted Provision. As an SEN / SEND tutor, you will play a vital role in transforming the educational journey of young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD / SLD), or other Additional Educational Needs.

About the Role:
This position involves providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to us by local authorities and schools. You will be responsible for delivering flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring sessions that cater to each individual's unique needs and abilities. Your goal will be to raise their engagement and drastically improve their outlook on education.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must possess Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS) and have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience. It is essential to have experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other Additional Educational Needs. Additionally, you should have knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes and hold an Enhanced DBS check. You must also be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online assignments.
