We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at J&B Hopkins. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for providing commercial awareness and support to our project management and operational delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all commercial activities throughout the design stage, including compiling the tender bid and engaging with Sub-Contractors/Suppliers.
- Work alongside our design, pre-construction, and estimating team to ensure commercial coverage.
- Review and negotiate the Contract with our Client, with support from senior management.
- Negotiate and place Sub-Contract Agreements with specialist Sub-Contractors.
- Prepare and submit monthly interim valuations to our Client in line with our Contract.
- Manage, value, and agree variations to the Contract.
- Carry out the valuation, preparation, and submission of compliant payment notices to our Sub-Contractors.
- Manage and agree variations with our Sub-Contractors.
- Agree final accounts upstream and downstream.
- Monthly production and presentation of financial reports for the project in line with our company timetable.
- Commercial acumen
- Ability to manage numerous activities across multiple projects simultaneously
- Enterprising, commercial, and planned approach
