About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support during surgical procedures.

Main Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based patient care in a theatre environment.

Provide skilled assistance in the surgical care of patients, including X-Ray and Obstetrics.

Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to meet the needs of patients, with minimal supervision.

Assist in the management and organisation of clinical and satellite areas, implementing improvements to working practices.

Participate in the education and development of other staff members and students.

Requirements

  • NMC registered nurse or HCPC registered ODP.
  • Knowledge of the role within a theatre environment.
  • Good communication skills, as demonstrated by application form.
  • Awareness of competence limitations.
  • Motivated and able to participate in unsocial hours/shifts.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Teaching, mentoring, assessing qualification.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Theatre experience.
  • Ability to speak Welsh.
