Surgical Theatre Specialist

Job Overview
The successful candidate will engage collaboratively with a diverse multi-disciplinary team, addressing patient needs while working independently. Responsibilities include managing and organizing clinical and ancillary areas, implementing enhancements to operational practices as identified through audits and clinical trials. Additionally, the role involves contributing to the education and professional development of colleagues and students.
Key Responsibilities
The individual will be accountable for the assessment, planning, execution, and evaluation of evidence-based patient care. Clinical proficiency will be applied throughout all stages of the peri-operative process. The role requires skilled assistance in surgical patient care, with the potential to extend these competencies to other areas of the theatre, such as Anaesthetics (with appropriate qualifications), recovery, and additional satellite departments like X-Ray and Obstetrics.
Proficiency in the Welsh language is preferred for this position; applications from both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged.

Qualifications and Knowledge

- NMC registered nurse / HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)
