About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting the surgical team in the operating theatre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based patient care
  • Provide skilled assistance in the surgical care of patients
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to meet the needs of patients
  • Assist in the management and organisation of clinical and satellite areas
  • Participate in the education and development of other staff members and students

Requirements

  • NMC registered nurse or HCPC registered ODP
  • Knowledge of the role within a theatre environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Awareness of competence limitations
  • Motivated and respectful of others

Desirable Qualifications

  • Teaching, mentoring, assessing qualification
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Theatre experience
  • Ability to speak Welsh
