Regional Maternity Quality Lead

The Regional Maternity Quality Lead is a key leadership role in the East of England Region, supporting the Regional Chief Midwife in delivering high-quality, safe, and personalized health and care across the region. This exciting opportunity is part of the NHS England's Long-Term Plan, focusing on key national maternity priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives in maternity care, ensuring women, families, and local populations are central to all activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the health system to provide strategic leadership and professional guidance regionally.
- Hold responsibility for the delivery of key objectives, including leading on the maternity workforce and leadership agenda, new hospital programme, and support programmes of work relating to maternity policy, strategy, and professional priorities.
Accountability and Responsibility:
- Accountable for the strategic and operational development of quality improvement and transformation specific to leadership and workforce across the East of England in relation to maternity care.
- Responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of all staff within the department.
Improving Quality and Outcomes:
- Lead to better outcomes for women, families, and local populations through systematic, evidence-based approaches that enable both improvement and transformation.
- Lead on the thematic review of maternity quality intelligence, to enable learning to be applied across the system.
Enabling Patient and Public Involvement:
- Act as a champion for service users and their interests, involving the public and patients in the policy development and decision-making of NHS England.
- Ensure all public and service user contact with the office is of the highest professional standard.
Promoting Equality and Reducing Inequalities:
- Uphold organisational policies and principles on the promotion of equality, creating an inclusive working environment where diversity is valued, and everyone can contribute.
Using Insight and Evidence for Improvement:
- Facilitate improvement and transformation across systems, demonstrating both professional credibility and authenticity.
