About the Role

Hays Accountancy and Finance are supporting a leading business with the recruitment of a Financial Controller on a permanent basis. Our client is a well-established, family-run enterprise who have been established for over 100 years and are a well-known name in the industry.

Your New Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Director and working as part of a close-knit team, you will be responsible for leading the month-end process for their subsidiary companies while playing a key role in support of the finance function. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading in the preparation of the statutory accounts
  • Preparing and presenting the monthly management accounts with commentary
  • Preparation of monthly payroll
  • Management of the cashflow
  • Preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, P11Ds, VAT
  • Assisting with the implementation of a new accounting system
  • Overview of debtors and creditors reporting
  • Overseeing the fixed asset register maintenance

What You'll Need to Succeed

The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA Qualified. They will be happy working in a varied accounts role for a family-run business and be comfortable working in a team environment.
