Hays Senior Finance is supporting a leading business in the Shropshire area with the recruitment of a Financial Controller on a permanent basis. Our client is a well-established, family-run company who have been established for over 100 years and are a well-known name in the local area.
Your New RoleAs Financial Controller, you will be responsible for leading the month-end process for their subsidiary companies while playing a key role in support of the finance function. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading in the preparation of the statutory accounts
- Preparing and presenting the monthly management accounts with commentary
- Preparation of monthly payroll
- Management of the cashflow
- Preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, P11Ds, VAT
- Assisting with the implementation of a new accounting system
- Overview of debtors and creditors reporting
- Overseeing the fixed asset register maintenance
You will be reporting to the Finance Director and working as part of a close-knit team. The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA Qualified and comfortable working in a varied accounts role for a family-run SME business.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA Qualified and happy to travel into Telford on a daily basis.
