Salary and Benefits

Job Description

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, Behavioural and Social, Emotional and Mental Health. You will work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals to create and implement individual behaviour plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with students
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to help students improve their behaviour and self-regulation
  • Assist teachers and staff in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students, both inside and outside the classroom
  • Document and track student progress
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with young people with SEN and managing challenging behaviour
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of students with SEN
