Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual who has experience in managing challenging behaviour and supporting students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, Behavioural and Social, Emotional and Mental Health. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing 1:1 and small group support to students, helping them to improve their behaviour and self-regulation. You will work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals to create and implement individual behaviour plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with students
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to help students improve their behaviour and self-regulation
  • Assist teachers and staff in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students, both inside and outside the classroom
  • Document and track student progress
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with young people with SEN and managing challenging behaviour
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of students with SEN
