Clinical Assessor

We are seeking a qualified Nurse to join our team as a Functional Assessor. As a Functional Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing individuals and how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life. You will draw on your clinical expertise to listen carefully and take down each person's medical history before performing a physical examination. Your task will be to produce concise, accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) so they can decide each person's eligibility for benefits.
The role involves meeting people both face-to-face and via telephone/video. You will be sensitive, compassionate and able to ask the right questions while upholding best practice standards.
As a Functional Assessor, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of clients and develop your skills in assessment and report writing.
Requirements- NMC Level 1 Registered Adult Nurse with a minimum of 12 months broad-based clinical post-registration experience within the past 5 years.
- Experience of working with adults in a range of clinical situations. Surgical, Medical, A & E, Community and Practice Nursing with a broad-based experience.
- NMC-registered with Continuous Professional Development on your CV.
- IT skills and experience of using a range of software.
- Self-aware and focused on professional development.
