Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Health Officer to join our commercial team at Runnymede Borough Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out programmed inspections and reactive work involving food hygiene, infectious disease, nuisance, public health, occupational health, and planning consultations.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be competent in delivering official food controls and have experience in other areas of environmental health related work. As part of our small and friendly department, you will support colleagues working in various disciplines and contribute to maintaining high standards of public health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of food premises to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Investigate complaints and reports of public health concerns
  • Provide advice and guidance to businesses and individuals on environmental health matters
  • Collaborate with other teams to achieve shared goals and objectives

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
