Salary


The salary for this role is competitive, with a base salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will be entitled to a 10% employer pension contribution and 33 days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays.



About the Role


This is an exceptional opportunity to lead our supplier quality engineering team, ensuring the quality of items and services purchased and stored. You will manage discrepancies in delivered and stored items, quarantine areas, and supplier relationships, promoting continuous improvement among suppliers and the team.



Key Responsibilities



  • Ensure the quality of items and services purchased and stored.
  • Manage any discrepancies in delivered and stored items.
  • Manage the quarantine areas while ensuring timely containment, characterization, and return to suppliers.
  • Manage the supplier relationship for quality aspects, promoting continuous and preventive improvement among suppliers and the team.
  • Minimize the impact of quality events originating from suppliers on product quality, cost, and delivery.


Requirements


To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • Knowledge of EN9100 / EN9001.
  • Experience using quality tools such as APQP, 8D, and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Able to work accurately and consistently.
