Job Description

As a Mental Health Liaison Nurse, you will be responsible for carrying out biopsychosocial assessments of individuals referred to the team from the Emergency Department and wards within the acute trust.

You will consider all necessary sources of information in formulating the assessment and care plan.

This role requires a high level of skill in mental health assessments, risk formulation, and risk management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years post-registration experience as a qualified mental health nurse.
  • A deep understanding of mental health issues, particularly in relation to older adults.
  • Experience of evidence-based risk formulation.
Working Environment

You will be based at the Queen Elizabeth hospital and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop interventions suitable for our client group.
