Private Equity Business Development Manager

RSM, a leading mid-tier audit, tax, and consultancy firm, is seeking an experienced Private Equity Business Development Manager to join its team. The RoleThis business development role involves identifying and assisting in the winning of new work opportunities for the firm's private equity clients. You will play a valuable role in helping business leaders find their next leadership position, generating fees through transactions and post-transaction work. You will work closely with the BLP lead and other members of the PE Coverage team to assist in the further development of RSM's private equity strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Take ownership of the BLP and assist in the winning of new work opportunities across Audit, Tax, and Consulting from private equity funds, transactions, and portfolio companies.
- Build relationships with serial Chair community leaders who lead private equity-backed businesses, generating sell-side M&A work from private equity funds.
- Grow the BLP by mapping out the private equity CEO, CFO, Chair, and NED market to identify key individuals to target.
- Help shape the process for qualifying individuals to join the BLP and focus on specific members.
- Become adept at assessing executive skills and experience and understanding career aspirations, developing knowledge of options open to them.
- Make relevant introductions to sector and service teams, developing a considerable pipeline of opportunities for RSM teams nationwide.
- Build relationships with private equity firms to raise the profile of the BLP.
- You will need to be a motivated self-starter with high autonomy, able to adapt to change and identify areas for improvement in line with RSM's long-term private equity strategy.
- Excellent organisational capabilities, articulate communication skills, and ability to build strong relationships are essential.
- An inquisitive mind and commercial outlook, with a strong interest in private equity and professional services, are highly valued.
