In a newly created role, the Safety, Health & Environment Manager will join the business at a strategic level, responsible for driving a safety best practice culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance to senior leadership on best practices and driving a safety culture in the business.
  • Work alongside Directors to develop and deliver engaging health & safety training/workshops to colleagues from shop-floor to manager level.
  • Lead environmental sustainability initiatives, providing ideas on how the business can be more sustainable.
  • Influence a workforce of 500 colleagues to value the importance of safety in the workplace and hold accountability for initiatives.
  • Motivate, mentor and coach a small team of direct reports, supporting them in their respective roles.

Key Requirements:

  • Solid SHE experience; ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to influence and drive change across all levels of the organization.
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Practical, calm and thorough with great attention to detail.
  • Happy to be visible in the business.
