We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at INEOS Grangemouth, an integrated refinery and petrochemicals centre of excellence. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, repair, and assist in the development of mechanical equipment to achieve maximum reliability in a safe and cost-effective manner.
- Adhere to identified INEOS standards and practices, ensuring all health and safety standards are met.
- Liaise with planners and permit issuing authorities to ensure jobs are ready to start and risks are fully understood.
- Examine mechanical equipment to identify potential faults and make recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Accurately record all work carried out using a suitable CMMS.
- Participate in equipment improvement teams and contribute to the development of new equipment.
- Relevant technical qualification (SVQ level 3 / HNC)
- Significant experience related to the role
- Knowledge of rotating machinery (compressors, pumps, blowers, RALs)
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Proficiency in using measuring equipment and working to close tolerances
- Experience with air tools, air drill, and grinders
- Experience with pressure testing
- Basic IT skills
