About the Role

As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing and assisting in the development of mechanical equipment to achieve maximum reliability in a safe and cost-effective manner and adhere to identified INEOS standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all health and safety standards and site operating procedures at all times.
  • Liaise with the planner and permit issuing authority to ensure jobs are ready to start and risks are fully understood.
  • Examine mechanical equipment to identify potential faults and make recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • Accurately record all work carried out using a suitable CMMS.
  • Participate in equipment improvement teams and offer technical input.
  • Participate in acceptance testing of new equipment.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a relevant technical qualification (SVQ level 3 / HNC) and significant experience related to the role. You should also have knowledge of rotating machinery, be able to read and understand engineering drawings, and have experience with pressure testing.
