About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at Transport for Wales. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering transport-related projects that improve transport services in line with Welsh Government transport policy and strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a range of transport-related projects by applying robust project lifecycle methodologies, undertaking early lifecycle project delivery, and ensuring projects are completed safely to time, cost, and quality.
  • Provide a professional and effective project management service, including project governance, reporting, technical working groups, and executive steering groups.
  • Manage the project budget by liaising with the Finance Business Partner and the Programme Manager, escalating any variances where required.
  • Manage and lead project teams by collaborating with internal colleagues, external contractors, stakeholders, and the supply chain to ensure projects meet delivery outcomes.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree such as Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Project management qualification such as APM or PRINCE2 or similar.
  • Experience of early-stage project delivery.
  • Proven experience of working on a variety of transport sector-related projects as a Project Manager.
