Job Title: Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Transport for Wales. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering transport-related projects to improve transport services in line with Welsh Government transport policy and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a range of transport-related projects by applying robust project lifecycle methodologies, undertaking early lifecycle project delivery, and implementing project plans, schedules, and resource management.
  • Provide a professional and effective project management service, including project governance, reporting, technical working groups, and executive steering groups.
  • Manage project budgets, liaising with Finance Business Partners and Programme Managers to ensure costs remain within agreed budgets.
  • Manage and lead project teams, collaborating with internal colleagues, external contractors, stakeholders, and supply chain to ensure projects meet delivery outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Project management qualification, such as APM or PRINCE2.
  • Experience of early-stage project delivery and working on transport sector-related projects as a Project Manager.
