About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Sandwell College. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they have access to a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist students with daily living tasks, such as personal care and mobility.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning culture.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices in learning support.
Requirements
  • GCSE in English and Maths to grade C or above, or a recognized equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of a Level 3 subject qualification.
  • Experience in supporting learners, staff, or clients.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the wide range of needs students have in an FE setting that affects the achievement of goals.
