Job Opportunity: Learning and Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Development Manager to join our team at Tewkesbury Park. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing employee learning and development strategies to drive operational improvement, increase professionalism, and enhance employee fulfillment.

Purpose of the Role:

To identify and address training needs, conduct a company-wide learning and skills analysis, and design and facilitate training programs to close identified gaps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with heads of department to find and inspire new team members, providing them with a thorough, structured introduction into the role and the wider resort.
  • Conduct regular L&D reviews through individual team member reviews, guest feedback, skills tests, and on-the-floor observations.
  • Network across local schools, colleges, and universities to promote our industry and provide contra visits with other businesses to increase industry knowledge.
  • Work with the finance and admin team to ensure all staff administration is up to date and advise on regulatory changes that might impact training requirements.
  • Develop a budget for learning and development that fits within the wider resort budget and is strategically designed to foster a collaborative learning culture.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in identifying learning needs, taking them through to training design, delivery, and ongoing review and monitoring.
  • Creative and innovative approach to problem-solving and learning solution creation.
  • Delivering confident, engaging, in-person hospitality training.
  • Passionate about the hotel sector, with a particular focus on guest satisfaction and team development.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in networking outside the business when required.
  • Attention to detail and good organisation skills are crucial.
  • Recognised L&D specific qualification or more general HR qualification with L&D elements.

Working Arrangements:

  • Full-time, on-site role (40 hours per week), including some weekend and evening work as required to deliver team training.
  • Salary: £40k per annum
