Senior Clinical Nurse Leader in Dermatology

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Nurse Leader to join our Dermatology team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing senior clinical nursing leadership and professional development for the nursing and support workers within the clinical area.
You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical services within the context of a clinical governance framework. This will involve providing professional advice and support to the whole multidisciplinary team in caring for patients, as well as developing and implementing policies, guidelines, and protocols for the management of patients attending the clinical area.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled assessment of patients, including history taking, skin assessment, requesting, interpreting, and acting upon appropriate tests, investigations, and results in a timely manner.
- Use expert and specialist clinical and theoretical knowledge to safely and appropriately assess and diagnose patients in their care.
- Act autonomously within evidence-based guidelines to plan and implement individualized management plans using clinical decision-making skills to manage illness for patients within the department and on the ward.
- Contribute to the performance of diagnostic procedures for the Dermatitis Service, training nursing staff in gaining relevant competencies for Patch Testing, and overview this service.
- Prescribe appropriately as a Non-Medical Prescriber within the area of specialty from an agreed formulary in line with Trust Protocols and Guidelines and within own scope of professional practice.
