Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to join our team at ScottishPower. As a key member of our Origination team, you will play a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and securing new sites for renewable energy projects across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Site Search and Feasibility

Undertake site search and feasibility work, including land title referencing, preliminary layouts, grid, access, and energy resource assessments for various technologies.

Land Agent Management

Lead the tendering, appointment, instruction, and effective management of land agents/consultants through the site evaluation and feasibility process.

Due Diligence and Reporting

Carry out due diligence and submission documents for tender bids, providing ad-hoc advice and due diligence on property matters in relation to acquisition opportunities.

Stakeholder Management

Build, maintain, and retain effective stakeholder relationships, ensuring all internal knowledge is captured via established data channels.

Health and Safety

Take a proactive approach to health and safety management, developing pretender/development plans and completing audits and actions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Educated to degree level and/or possessing a professional qualification, preferably related to land/property, energy, or sustainable development.
  • Up-to-date renewables technical and market knowledge.
  • Experience in working to deliver pipeline projects through to development, coordinating a network of agents and stakeholders, and understanding land agreements and land negotiations.
  • Ability to understand large data analysis/management for reporting and auditing.
  • Health and Safety knowledge and awareness.
  • Full driving licence.
