Positive Behaviour Support Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Positive Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at Home Group. As a Positive Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred support to our customers, helping them to reach their full potential and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to our customers with complex needs, including autism and learning disabilities, using a strengths-based approach.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualised support plans, promoting independence and social inclusion.
  • Monitor and respond to the mental and physical health needs of our customers, taking a positive risk management approach to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
  • Use Positive Behavioural Support principles to promote positive relationships and reduce challenging behaviours.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a complex care setting, with a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
  • Proven ability to work with individuals with complex needs, including autism and learning disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including night shifts and weekends.
