Special Needs Education Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Needs Education Teacher to provide one-to-one support to students with complex needs in the Blackpool area.

The successful candidate will be patient, empathetic, and able to create and deliver personalized learning plans. A therapeutic approach may also be needed to re-engage students with their learning.

The tuition is replacing school for these young people and is normally part-time, taking place during school hours, five days a week. You will work closely with Prospero Teaching to monitor the progression of each pupil by submitting weekly reports.

The ideal candidate will be creative, patient, and willing to think outside the box. They will have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils and hold the right to work in the UK, an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate, and two professional child-related references.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with complex needs
  • Create and deliver personalized learning plans
  • Use a therapeutic approach to re-engage students with their learning
  • Submit weekly reports to monitor pupil progression

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience
  • UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate
  • Two professional child-related references
