Specialist Learning Disabilities and Autism Keyworker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Specialist Learning Disabilities and Autism Keyworker to join our award-winning multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with families and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people with learning disabilities and autism.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and support the holistic needs of young people and their families, providing interventions or facilitating access to further support.
  • Advocate for young people, ensuring their views are heard in multi-agency settings.
  • Co-facilitate consultations and share expertise within your professional field, contributing to the development of the team's clinical practice.
  • Receive ongoing CPD and training opportunities to further enhance your skills and expertise.
Requirements
  • Professional registration
  • Degree in registered profession
  • Additional specialist post-graduate training relevant to clinical area (e.g. Sensory Processing, Sensory Attachment Intervention, specific psychological therapies)
  • Training/experience of PBS
Desirable Skills
  • Significant post-graduate experience in specific area
  • Experience of carrying out supervision to junior staff, coordinating the care of clients and delegating tasks.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autistic young people
  • Experience of contributing to service development
