We are seeking a skilled E&I Technician to join our team at SRG, a leading global supplier of specialty chemicals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on plant machinery and site facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Communicate task progress and updates to relevant stakeholders, fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration.
  • Respond to equipment failures and conduct reactive repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Install new equipment and modify existing systems as required, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Conduct electrical and instrumentation testing, inspection, calibration, and reporting to ensure plant condition and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement a maintenance strategy for machinery, plants, and infrastructure, optimizing resource allocation and reducing costs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, specifically Siemens S7 PLC (step7/TIA portal).
  • Knowledge of motor control and inverter drives, as well as industrial communications protocols (Profinet, Profibus).
  • Instrumentation expertise, including level, flow, pressure, temperature, and pH measurement.
  • Fault finding and planned maintenance skills, with experience in CMMS (Avantis/SAP) systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Sound computer literacy skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

Desirable Qualifications

  • HNC in a related subject, such as electrical engineering or instrumentation.
  • NVQ level 3 E&I, demonstrating a strong foundation in electrical and instrumentation principles.
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
